Studio Lighting

Today in class, we learned about studio lighting. First of all I have never worked with studio lighting before so I was hesitant about this class activity. After the lecture (which was basically telling us what kind of lighting there is and how certain lighting benefits your photographs, depending where you are. Natural lighting (sun) can be used to get great photography’s but sometimes it can be too bright, so we learned simple ways to reduce the lighting without totally getting ride of it, such as covering windows with curtains to reduce light from coming in. Or We have a artificial lighting where you bring lights in to make a photograph seem brighter.) we each had to take pictures of other classmates, it was fun and we learned about different lighting such as Butterfly lighting. Overall I really enjoyed this activity because we all had some good laughs and at the same time it was informative and educational.
